Mint, painted by Monaghan in 1999 was originated as a collaboration with a New York City bartender friend of the artist. Monaghan asked him to pick a color and from there, and with the bartender in the studio, Monaghan created the piece. Look into the piece and you will see the face of a King or a knight. You will also see an orange T, Monaghan's original signature prior to moving on to using his iconic tm.
