Evolution @ Home, created by Monaghan in 2009, is one of his larger and earlier collages. The piece explores the evolution of American and American Society, especially the 24 hour news cycle, Oprah Winfrey, the election of Barack Obama as its first black president. Monaghan is also featured in the piece, his likeness being that of a witness. The piece of found and donated paper images and is covered in resin to protect it over time.
