Boy, painted by Monaghan early in 1998 was created early in his time in New York City. It is one of the earliest of his canvas pieces. Looking into the piece you will see the face of a boy his third eye floating out above and away from his face in the form of a Sun. You will also see several other faces, that of an old man, his elder and or father. This piece is a celebration of fatherhood of which Monaghan is three times over, he has three sons.
